Our medical team consists of Medical Doctors (MD’s), as well as Physician Assistants (PA’s). All of our physicians have gone through specific training for the evaluation and treatment of Dizziness, Balance Disorders, and Concussions.
Daniel Adam, MD - Medical Director

Dr. Adam was born and raised in Minnesota, and after completing his education and training in Omaha, NE and Chicago, IL, he is happy to finally return home. He received his Master’s in Clinical Anatomy and MD from Creighton University (go Bluejays!), and has previously worked closely with teams of Neurologists, Physiatrists, Physical Therapists, and Occupational Therapists.
Working with a dedicated team of experts help to improve patient’s lives is why he felt especially called to the National Dizzy and Balance Center and the work that they do. His hobbies include traveling, hiking, camping, reading, and playing drums.

Mark Agre, MD - Staff Physician

Mark Agre’s background includes being raised in Minnesota. I have over 30 years of musculoskeletal Physical Medicine practice experience. I have been a long standing Veteran TBI evaluator for the VA. I look forward to making a contribution to the NDBC team.
I have also been a lifelong soccer player, youth coach. Lifelong bicycle enthusiast including self supported cross-country, gravel, mountain bike tour camping, long-distance commuting. Lifelong canoer including whitewater, subarctic Canadian travel. I restore/rebuild classic motorcycles, bicycles, automobiles, runabout speed boats from the ‘50s, ‘60s and ‘70s. Fully maintain an island cabin and boathouse that is 2 portages from the western BWCA. Winter (the BEST season!!) activities include winter bicycling with grandchild on copilot, ice “hockey” with grandchild, a nordic classic and a downhill skier.

Thomas Kraemer, MD - Staff Physician

Dr. Kraemer is native to Minnesota and enjoys the variety of weather and the array of activities it offers. His favorite activities include tennis, biking, rollerblading, traveling, ice skating/hockey, chess, and playing pedal steel guitar.
Dr. Kraemer has a special interest in evaluating and coordinating complex medico-legal issues that are a common stress point for patients and their families dealing with brain, spine, joint, and vestibular injuries/conditions.Dr. Kraemer enjoys helping individuals reclaim, regain, and maintain optimal health and wellness.

Sarah Berg, PA-C - Lead Physician Assistant

I love the outdoors and am fortunately also married to a fellow outdoor enthusiast. I especially enjoy running, hiking, downhill skiing, mountain biking and camping with my husband and three children. We are on a mission to explore each of Minnesota’s 66 state parks and eventually all 63 national parks.
I have spent 18 years in family practice and urgent care, providing a broad understanding of the complexities of medicine. It is particularly fulfilling to be part of this distinctly skilled and comprehensive NDBC team that are dedicated to providing exceptional patient centered care and helping people understand and heal from vestibular and balance disorders and concussion.

Alissa Paul, PA-C - Staff Physician Assistant

Alissa is a Minnesota native who loves to travel with her husband and two children, preferably to somewhere warm! She also enjoys spending time outdoors in the summer, trying new restaurants, reading, and volunteering at her children’s school.
Alissa has spent 17 years in primary care and urgent care assessing and treating a wide variety of medical disorders; this experience has provided her with a broad clinical knowledge base. Her favorite parts of being a PA are offering patient education and developing relationships with patients. She has a special interest in helping patients better understand their dizziness, balance disorders and concussion. Alissa feels fortunate to be part of an incredible team (Medical, Audiology, PT and OT) who all share a common goal to improve a patient’s quality of life.
